Ideas for Wedding Favours

Long gone are the days when sugared almonds were the favoured wedding favour of choice.  Now everyone wants to be a little different, put their own stamp on things and express their individuality.  There is something to be said for a favour that really helps to tie your day together, or tells your guests a little something about who you are, how you met, your life journey together, and why you love each other.

Here’s a few ideas to spark your imagination in picking your wedding favours;

Chocolates are always appreciated.  Pick n mix seems to be taking over now, with the hire of candy carts on the rise.  Fudge and toffee’s are always a sure fire winner for the older generations.

A cupcake in a jar!!!  Self explanatory really.  These things are all over Etsy, but you can easily make them yourself a couple days in advance.  They make for a great naughty snack for wedding guests.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts!  Awesome idea!  Can’t believe I never thought of this for my own wedding.  I am tempted to get married all over again, just to have Krispy Kreme doughnuts as my wedding favours.

Cant believe I’m even suggesting this but Buckfast have started to produce their tonic wine in miniature bottles as distributors J Chandler & Co have been inundated with requests to produce a new line of 5cl bottles by couples looking for gifts for their wedding guests. (Daily Record)

By making a charitable donation to a charity close to your heart, you can thank your guests in a unique way, by making a donation in their name, giving them a more meaningful gift than traditional wedding favours.  As a keepsake of your donation, you can request personalised favour cards and/or pin badges and information leaflets that can enlighten your guests of the cause.

Hope this has helped inspire you.  For every like and share of our Facebook post today, we will donate £2 to the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society, which helps people with the degenerative spinal condition, Ankylosing Spondylitis.
